Shifting off the centre line using side steps is a fundamental part of an effective boxing style. These drills will help you do exactly that. They are simple, and simple works…this is bread and butter boxing.
The boxing drills are 3 rounds of 2 minutes each round:
Round 1
Jab – side step – back hand
Round 2
One-two – side step – one two
Round 3
Jab – side step – back hand body
Take your time with these boxing drills. Each boxing skill must be executed well. Any errors in one skill will carry forward into the next skill, so be disciplined. This seems simple, but it’s important that you really focus.
