In my previous video I gave you my views on 5 Fearsome Factors that make Japanese superstar Naoya Inoue such an effective proposition in the boxing ring.
The 5 fearsome factors that I chose were his widened stance his use if the jab as a trigger, his crushing punching power, his use of the centre line/flank/target concept when punching and his willingness to take risks.
In this video I provide you with 3 boxing combinations kick-starters that bear the hallmark of the Naoya Inoue boxing technique.
The 3 boxing combinations are:
- Jab (with a step in) and the lead hand hook to the head – the is based upon the concept of the jab being used as a trigger.
- Back hand uppercut to the chest/chin followed by the lead hand hook to the body – this is based upon the concept of the centreline/flank/target concept.
- Lead hand hook to the body followed by a straight back hand to the head – this is based upon the principle of Inoue being a risk taker. You can lessen the risk by reversing the combination i.e. starting with the back hand and ending with the hook to the body.
