Exactly how dangerous can slipping punches be?
Maybe a better way of putting it is exactly how risky can slipping punches be?
Well, everything involves risk to a greater or lesser degree, and executing any skill in a boxing context is no different.
But, risk can often bring opportunity. When you make an opponent miss an opportunity is created, and an inside slip can put you in the perfect position to capitalise on that opportunity.
As I like to say, “Make em miss, make em pay”.
So in this video we cover:
- Whether a one-two can beat the slip
- Slipping as a proactive measure rather than a reactive measure
- Slipping inside and slipping outside
- The risk profile in a boxing ring
- Technical faults and repeated patterns
Let me know what you think.
