Boxing for beginners always raises questions. Very often I find that these questions tend to revolve around the same themes.
I was recently asked a bunch of questions by one of my online clients. What struck me was that 3 of the questions asked fall neatly into the common themes of boxing for beginners.
So these 3 boxing for beginners questions cover the following areas:
The principle of weight distribution across the boxing stance as you throw the back hand.
Whether to use the foot rotation or explosive drive off the rear foot when throwing back hand punches.
The position of the front foot when throwing punches and when moving.
These are key areas for beginner boxers and indeed experienced boxers.
I’ve added one other question that whilst not exactly in the category of boxing for beginners is will being some understanding to the subject of lead hand hooking and generating additional power.
